VISIT TO THE NATIONAL MARKET OF ATHENS The E-twinning team (B’ Class, 17 Goals of Sustainable Development) and the Environmental Team visited the national Market of Athens in Renti where they participated in the educational programme “Healthy Habits” and they were informed about the Mediterranean Diet and the Sustainable and Responsible Consumption.
COLLECTING FOOD FOR THE POOR The e-twinning team (B’ Class, 17 Goals of Sustainable Development) informed the school community that we are going to collect food for the poor families of our area. Then we contacted the church of St. Nikolas which is in our area and they helped us to get in touch with families in need and give the food they had collected.
THAKSGIVING QUIZ On Thursday 30th November 2023 in the English subject and for the sake of getting to know the American culture, our students took part in a “Thanksgiving Quiz” where they answered questions about Thanksgiving and won pieces of apple pie!
EDUCATIONAL VISIT AT THE BOTANICAL MUSEUM On Friday 24th November the Environmental Team and the E-Twinning Team (B’ Class) visited the Botanical Museum at the University of Athens Campus in Ilisia. Our school has been awarded with a National Quality Label for our e-twinning project “From Italy to Greece and back.’ The award has been given after the evaluation by the European External Action Service (EEAS) which is the European Union’s diplomatic service. Since 2011, the EEAS carries out the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy to promote peace, prosperity, security, and the interests of Europeans across the globe.
School Year 2023-2024 Our school has been accepted to an Erasmus mobility programme which will operate on the following objectives: Media literacy and tackling disinformation Environment and climate change Inclusion, promoting equality and non-discrimination and it will be realized with the participation of other European schools.
NOVEMBER 2023 Our school will participate in the 9th ATSMUN in Patras. ATSMUN is a three-day simulation of the conferences and the work carried out at the United Nations. It is aimed at junior high school, high school as well as university students ( age span 12-23 ) with a view to sensitize and awake the younger generation as far as international issues of paramount importance are concerned;
